Erika was first introduced to yoga during the pandemic, it was her segue into living an active lifestyle. Prior to that, she had never even stepped foot in a gym.
She fell in love with the practice, the community, and the philosophy behind yoga and went on to complete her initial 200 hour yoga teacher training followed by additional training in arm balances/inversions and yoga philosophy with Megan Mulrine in Sideman, Bali. Movement is medicine, and Erika’s aspiration is to hold a space for students to reconnect with their authentic selves and experience empowerment through the physical body.
Her teaching style is rooted in universality and weaves in the stories that inspired the names behind yoga asanas. Although she is teaching classes, Erika is a forever student. She loves to find new ways to cultivate her own practice. Currently she is taking classes to learn Sanskrit to achieve one of her lifelong goals of being able to read the original text of the Yoga Sutras.
